To conduct its mission, the Dev Lab is guided by the LUCIE 26000 certification label which was created in 2019. This was the first ever societal responsibility label intended for local authorities and aligned with the ISO 26000 international standard. It means that the authorities make a concrete 3-year commitment to improve the region’s drawing power, public action and services rendered to the local population, by reducing economic, social and environmental risks.
Examples of municipal measures: use of glass containers with plastic covers for the CCAS meals on wheels service, an ongoing transport study aiming to reduce the presence of vehicles in the village centre, and procedures engaged by the primary school to obtain the ‘Eco-école’ certification label.
