Val d’Isère is set to welcome guests for another exciting winter season. From new luxury accommodation and dining in the mountains, wellness programmes and activity slopes to a revamped shopping centre; there is something new for everyone this winter season, alongside a packed schedule of events and festivals.
- New chalet accommodation to suit all guests
Visitors can discover the Art de Vivre this winter through the resort’s new accommodation offerings. Airelles Val d’Isère is opening its first-ever ski in ski out chalet for the brand on the slopes, boasting four bedrooms to accommodate up to eight guests, with direct access to the snow and picturesque views of the Bellevarde. For bigger groups, Silverstone is an exciting new addition to Alpine Collections accommodation range. Located minutes from the village centre, this ski-in ski-out luxury chalet offers two deluxe suites, and four opulent penthouses hosting groups of between eight to seventeen. Complete with a private pool, cinema room and massage booth, this high-end property provides a charming setting with plenty of fun. Additionally, 3-star Solaise Apartment will open in the heart of the village to offer a two-floor penthouse apartment with stunning views, sleeping up to twelve guests. With access to a communal spa, swimming pool, steam room and gym, there is plenty for all ages to enjoy.
Cabaret, traditional cuisine and lakeside dining add to Val d’Isère’s gastronomic scene
Val d’Isère continues to add to its impressive food offering with brand new restaurants and bars, refurbishments and show-stopping cabaret entertainment. The iconic La Folie Douce will introduce a new VIP rooftop area where guests can marvel at the incredible cabaret shows as the venue continues to become a major player in the cabaret scene. Val d’Isère will also be welcoming the new restaurant L’Alpin in the heart of the village. Set in an authentic mountain chalet and serving traditional homemade cuisine the restaurant will be perfect for warming up after a long day’s skiing. Meanwhile, a village favourite, L’Ouillette, overlooking the striking lake has undergone a refurbishment to open a new terrace with sweeping views. Plus, enhancing the nightlife scene is the new Bar de Tontons which will offer daily entertainment, including concerts, wine and beer tastings, and DJ sets.
- Recharge your batteries at altitude
Le Refuge de Solaise, the highest hotel in the Alps, has unveiled a new wellness and serenity programme: “RESET”. The programme is based around five steps: Regenerate, Respire, Recharge, Reconnect and Restore, to offer a unique physical and olfactory experience that is designed to fully reconnect the mind and body in a truly tranquil setting. The RESET retreat also includes an invigorating hammam session, exfoliation, aromatic pouch massage and calming sound healing. Lower down in the village, Le Yule, the gem of luxury family hospitality in Val d’Isère, is thrilled to announce its partnerships with two industry leading French brands, Biologique Recherche and Wesak Paris, aligning with their values of luxury and excellence.
Val Square Commerces & Co: the new beating heart of La Daille
The development of the La Daille area will see a full renovation of the shopping centre, which will reopen this winter season under the new name of Val Square Commerces & Co. This six-million-euro project will offer a completely revamped space for visitors and residents to enjoy. A lively hub in the heart of La Daille, Val Square will also offer a digital tourist information point, plus a variety of F&B options. For shopping, Skimium Val Ski shop offers one of the largest in the village, located right next to Val Square, whilst Val Agence, La Daille’s longest-running estate agency, will welcome customers to its brand-new premises.
- Val d’Isere’s launches Val d’Isère Le Club, an exclusive club for loyal fans
Val d’Isère has launched its own club for avid fans of the resort, as a way of giving back to its most loyal ambassadors. The club offers taster sessions, exclusive events, behind-the-scenes adventures and plenty more. Members will also be rewarded for their loyalty with “medals”, which are eligible after 10 years of holidays in Val d’Isère, granting access to even more exclusive privileges across the resort. Guests can register to be part of the club via the Val d’Isere website.
Embrace the local wildlife on the new Gypaète Adventure Slope
This season, one of the infamous symbols of Val d’Isère, the bearded vulture (or gypaète) will have its own adventure slope named after it on the Bellevarde. The slope will be dotted with features themed around the local fauna and made using natural materials. Inspired by land art, guests can enjoy a vulture-themed ski-through tunnel, an impressive arch that marks the start of the slope, a giant feather that can be played like a xylophone, a slalom and much more.
- Increased flexibility for purchasing lift passes and four hour lift passes now available
New for this season, the Val d’Isère Ski App will offer a simplified option for buying lift passes, saving guests time thanks to the contactless pass recharging system. Meanwhile, 28 new lift gates are being installed for this winter, which will enable 4-hour lift passes to be purchased, catering to the ever-growing demand from customers who are adopting a more “hybrid” style of ski holiday that combines time on the slopes with other activities. Additionally, the Tourist Office has had a full refurbishment for this winter to offer visitors greater accessibility for all the information they need.
