Posters in the colors of the ski patrol are displayed on screens in the village and ski area, on the Val d’Isère app, on social networks and in newsletters. The four rules are underlined by the overall message: “You’re on vacation, respect for others and safety for all!”
In Val d’Isère, as in many other ski resorts, there is a growing sense of insecurity on the slopes. In 2024, 400 Val d’Isère instructors signed an open letter reporting on the situation on the slopes, with suggestions for improvements and recommendations to ensure that skiing remains a pleasure. A steering committee was set up on this subject, comprising the municipality, the Val d’Isère Régie des Pistes, Val d’Isère Téléphériques, Val d’Isère Tourisme, the Val d’Isère ESF and the spokespersons for the ski instructors. This campaign is the first action to come out of the discussions, many others will follow.
These visuals reinforce the awareness-raising work of the Val d’Isère ski patrol and ski instructors. On valdisere.com, the 10 rules are set out in a dedicated article directly accessible from the home page : The 10 rules for safe skiing : Rules of good conduct on the slopes | Val d’Isère
