Smart stay Good deals in Val d'Isère

Discover the best deals to make the most of your stay: discounted ski passes on certain key dates, restaurants offering Savoyard specialities at affordable prices, and a variety of free activities such as après-ski sledging and nature walks.

Lounges at Solaise and La Daille

Since 2016, Val d’Isère has offered a picnic room and services at the top of the Solaise massif, at an altitude of 2,400m. The Lounge de Solaise dining area is equipped with tables and sofas, a café, a play area and public toilets, with panoramic views and a small gallery that can house exhibitions. A letterbox has been installed on the ground floor, so visitors can send the postcards of Val d’Isère they have bought in the lounge’s boutique. In La Daille, the picnic room leading off from the gondola station allows skiers to enjoy their lunch, sheltered from the elements.

Free village shuttles

Val d’Isère Téléphériques offers a free shuttle bus service that runs all around the village, between the various hamlets and the bottom of the slopes, all day long (every 5 minutes) and into the early hours (up to 2am). A social and environmental commitment, this reduces the amount of traffic caused by personal vehicles. The fleet of buses is almost fully electric.

Free for children under 8

Children aged under 8 can ski for free on the whole Tignes – Val d’Isère ski area, from the bottom of the slopes right up to the glaciers. This enables families to make the most of the extensive ski area and its facilities with their young children. In Val d’Isère, they can have fun in the Val Kids area, at the top of the Solaise, with its adventure slope, play area and picnic area and in the Lost Village in La Daille.

Free events Lots of surprises await you...

Our entertainer Valérien invites you to discover a host of free après-ski activities on the snow front, including snooc, human curling, snack gliss and airboarding. It’s the perfect opportunity to try out these unusual sledges and have a good laugh!

Numerous free events are also on offer throughout the winter season, including the ESF instructors’ torch-lit descent, Premières Traces and its free test of ski & snowboard equipment, the arrival of Santa Claus, alpine ski races on a night-time parallel slalom with prizes to be won…

On time Ski tips

Beginners can practice and improve their skills on 3 free lifts! See map.

  • Savonnette ski lift (on the snow front)
  • Village chairlift (on the snow front)
  • Lanches ski lift (from La Daille)

In Val d’Isère, you can ski smart when the slopes are less crowded at the beginning and end of the season. The months of December and April allow you to ski without queuing at the lifts, but also to enjoy a festive village with happening and closing events in the resort’s bars and restaurants.

Discover our “accommodation + ski passes at -40%, -30%, -20%” packages by booking with Val d’Isère Réservation during these low-season periods.
