Val d’Isère is an amazing playground for paragliding, speed-flying and speed-riding fans. In winter, our mountains promise spectacular flights over a 700-metre elevation range that will take your breath away. The launch slope is located behind the reservoir, near the Solaise refuge, and the landing zone is in the Manchet Valley, near the restaurant L’Art des Mets.
In winter, the launch spot couldn’t be easier to reach! Simply take the Solaise gondola lift from the bottom of the slopes. After your flight, the free shuttle bus (yellow line) will take you back to the roundabout (Rond-Point des Pistes) near the Solaise gondola station.
If you fancy paragliding for the very first time, the enthusiastic instructors will take you on a tandem flight so you can enjoy the experience in safe conditions.
Our mountains make the perfect playground for paragliding and speed-flying fans, the promise of beautiful flights covering an elevation drop of 700 metres. The launch slope is located behind the reservoir near the Solaise refuge, the landing zone in the Manche Valley, near the L’Art des Mets restaurant. There are several ways to reach the top of Solaise. It takes 20 minutes by car (but beware, 4-wheel drive is preferable on this steep mountain road). The easiest option is to take the Solaise gondola lift at the foot of the slopes in the village centre, then use the yellow shuttle bus to get from the landing zone back to the lift. The bus and gondola lift are free, so you can go up and down all day long.
